Cassy is a cheerful and friendly girl. She is raring to have many friends in school. There is nothing wrong with that, actually. But her wise Lola Charito teaches her a very important lesson on true friendship. But, what’s a chair got to do with it? This story reminds us that not everyone around us is a true friend. Real friends take care of us, accepts and loves us for who we are, not what we have. “Cassy’s Chair” (Ang Silya Ni Cassy) is one of the winners of the Kids’ Choice Awards under the Picture Books Category at the 7th National Children’s Book Awards in 2022. Ms. Meanne Mabesa Mijares was live via Zoom as she gives her Chikting talk on Helping Children Survive and Thrive During COVID-19 and Beyond which was also followed by another topic, Self-Care Strategies for Children During the Corona Virus Pandemic that was aired on MIBF's Official Facebook page on November 24, 2020, which gained 3, 400 views and counting!
